Tt being 7:15 P.M., Mayor Ritteii called far the hearing on the ad3ust-
ment and appeals of Robert Dahi, 7544 16th Ave., for a variation in side yard
set-back required For the construction of a garage, and read the notice of
hearing.
Robert Dahi, 7544 16th Ave., applicant, appeared in his own behalf, and
presented a petitian containing the names of six property owners approving
the variation. No persons appeared in opposition..
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the petition be accepted
and filed. Carried. C-4280

read the notice of hearing.
No persons appeared in opposition.

It being ?:15 P.M., Mayor Kittell called for the hearing on the special
use permit of Otto Huber,. b605 Portland-Ave.,. and read the notice of hearing.
Charles A. Magnison, 6221 Blaisdell Ave., appeared as representative for
the applicant and presented a petition of acquiescence.
Motion by Schultz, seconded by t~fallick, that the petition containing
17 names approving a special use permit for a car wash at 6605 Portland Ave.
be accepted and filed. Carried.. C-4283

Motion by Schultz, seconded by Serstock„ that the hearing be closed.

with certain stipulations. C-4284.

15. Division of Land - Lein's 2nd Addition
It being 7:30 P.M., Mayor Kittell called for the hearing on the land
division of Lake Cornelia Co., 700 Nicollet Ave.,. to divide Lots 23 through
36 inclusive„ Block 2, Lein's Richfield 2nd Addition, and read the notice
of hearing.
Robert J. Crabb and Bdward Braddock,. Jr. ,, representatives for the Lake
Cornelia Co., appeared. No persons appeared in opposition.
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields* that the hearing be closed.

16~ Change Name of Mud Lake
Motion by [Ualiick, seconded by Shields, that the council suspend the
rules to consider the request of the American Legion Post to change the
name of Mud Lake to Legion Lake.
Leonard Christiansen appeared to explain the procedure necessary to
change the name of the lake.
Motion by Shields, seconded by Schultz, that this council approve the
efforts of the Minneapolis-Richfield American Legion Post No. 435 to change
the name of Mud Lake to Legion Lake. Carried.

posed Southwest Hospital which is contemplated to be erected in Edina.
