Pursuant to council action of March 26, 1956, the council of the
Village of Richfield met in the council chambers of the Village Hali~ 6700
Portland Ave.,, at 7:00 Tuesdays March 27„ 1956.
Mayor K3.tte11 called the meeting to order..
Present: Wallick~ Shields, Serstock, Schultz and Kittell.
Absent: None.
1. Construction of Tem~ora~r Traffic Lanes at ?8th St. & Cedar Ave..
The village engineer presented a memorandum dated March 23~ 1956,

relative to the construction of temporary traffic lanes at ?8th St. and
Cedar Ave.
C. R. Roan, General manager of the Nietropoiitan Sports Area Commis-
sion, appeared and requested that the Village of Richfield cooperate in
the construction of temporary traffic lanes at 78th St. & Cedar Ave. be
accomplished as quickly as possible.
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Schultz, that the manager be author-

ized to direct the village engineer to employ village employees„ use
village equipment :end perform services in connection with the temporary
traffic lanes at 78th 5t, and Cedar Ave. The costs connected-herewith
shall be paid from the Street Appropriation of the General Pund. Such
expenditures are necess~ury for the general welfare of the Village of
Aichf ield. 'Carried.
