A discussion was held on the appiication of S. D. l~anksr 2001 W 67th
5t. for m commercial building permit to construct a building to be used for
an electrical appiicance store at ?648 Lyndale Ave., which appiic~rtion was
carried over from the previous meeting.
Motion by Shieids, secondedby Waliick, that the building permit for.

The engineer submitted a report and recommendation relative to bids
on the motor grader.

18. Remonstrance Petition - Oil Station - 2901 W, 66th St.
Motion by Wallick~ seconded by Shields,, that the council suspend the
rules to consider the petition signed by 19 property owners protesting the
granting of ~ special use permit for a gasoline filling station at 66th St.
and Vincent Ave. Carried,.

19 signatures p rotesting the construction of a filling station at 66th St.

Motion by Schultz, seconded by Serstock, that the council accept srid
file the minutes of the bid openings of March 20, 1956 and March 21, 1956.

The manager presented the tabulation of bids for petroleum products
with his recommendations for awards.
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Schultz, that the council accept the
low bid of Skelley Oil Co. in the amount of $].3,838.00 as recommended by the
managerb Carried.
21. Bid No. 56--10 - Bituminous Materials
The manager presented the tabu]a tion of bids for bituminous materia~].s
with his recommendations for awards.
Motion by Schultz, seconded by Shields, that the council accept the
bid of Northwestern Refining Co. for all bituminous materials except anti-

stripping additive, in the amount of $55,241.50, delivered P.O.B. Richfield
in truck transports; end that the council accept the bid of Western Oil &
Fuel Co, for anti-stripping additive, in the amount of $750.00, F.O.B. Rich-
field in truck transports; each bid recommended by the manager and based on
the low unit prices. Carried..
22. Advertise Bids - Pire Truck Chassis
Motion by Shields,, seconded by Schultz, that the clerk be authorized to
advertise for bids on a 24,000 ib. truck chassis, cab over-engine type, bids
to be opened on April 17, 1956, at 11:00 P.M. and recommended for award at
8:00 P.M. on April 23, 1956. Carried.
