Carried. Motion by Shields, seconded by Rose, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget to establish the position of accountant in Range 34, merit increase to apply as the individual qualifies. Carried. Motion by Shields, seconded by Rose, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget to increase the street.foreman from Range 34 to Range 36, merit increase to apply as the individual qualifies. Carried. Motion by Wallick, seconded by Rose, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget to increase the fire chief and police chief from Range 36 to Range 38, merit increases to apply as the individual qualifies. Carried. Motion by Rose, seconded by [,:'alli ;k, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget so that the chief inspector remains in Range 39, merit increases to ap- ply as the - individual qualifies. Carried. Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget so that civil engineer III remains at Range 39, merit - increases to apply as the individual qualifies. Motion by Shields, seconded by Rose, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget to increase the superintendent of streets from Range 39 to Range 40,' merit increase to apply as the individuals qualify. Carried. Motion by Wallick, seconded by Rose, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget to set the salary of the electrical inspector at $250.00 and assistant electrical inspector at $200.00. Carried. Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget to set the salary of the health officer at $25.00 per month. Carried. Motion by Wallick, seconded by Rose, that the manager prepare the 1956 budget so that,the salaries of the mayor, council and judge remain as at present._. Carried.
