Mayor Kittell called for hearing on Sanitary Sewer Laterals,- V: P. #308.:
The notice of hearing was read.
Elmer Kelley, 7329 Lyndale Ave. S., appeared before the council and read
a prepared statement opposing construction of sanitary sewer laterals on Garfield
Ave.. from 74th to 2981 north of 74th St.
Mayor Kittell read a petition containing 11 signatures opposing the con,,
stiuction of sanitary sewer laterals on loth Ave. S. from 72nd St. to 73rd St,
Motion by`RosP. seconded by Shields, that the statement of Mr. Kelley
and the petition be filed,. Carried. C-1867 C -1868.
?. Hearing - Commercial Zoning North of 66th St. near Grass Lake
Mayor Kittell called for the public hearing on commercial zoning of pro-
perty north of 66th St. near Grass Lake and read the notice of hearing.
D, V. Mabry, Jr., attorney., representing neighboring property owners who
are in opposition to this change of zone, appeared before the council.

The committee appointed by Mayor Kittell to negotiate conditions on the
question of expansion of trailer court at 7421 Lyndale returned to the meeting.
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the hearing be closed.
Carried.
Councilman Walters and Wallick took their chairs.
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the area be zoned C -1 and
a special use permit be granted for use as a trailer court, that the applicant

be required to enter into a contract providing that he will plant a screen of
Norway pine on north side of his property and that the Council zone area immediate-
Iy to the north as multiple dwelling. Carried.
Motion by Shields, seconded by Wallick, that the council authorize the
clerk to advertise a hearing on the special use permit of Kermit V. Haugans 7421
Lyndale Ave., at 8:00 Fa Mi. on Monday, December 6, 2-954, and to rezone the south
5 acres of the north 10 acres of the NwI of the SWI and north four ft. of that
part of NtaW:gl of 6W4 lying south of the north 10 acres thereof, except the railroad
right -of -way and road, Section 34, Twp. 28, Range 24, as multiple dwelling; Carried.
