It being 8:00 P. I~, Mayor Kitten called for the public hearing on the re-
zoning of the intersection of Penn Ave. & 70th St. and read the notice of hearing.
Robert L.. Speeters 500 P~.nna Federal Bldg. presented a petition requesting
coYrmi,ercial zoning on the four corners.
Samuel Finkelsteint 236 Foshay Bldg., appeared representing the owner of the
northwest corner of 70th end Fenn Ave. and asked for corr:nercial zoning of that
corner..
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the petition signed by sic
property owners be accepted and filed, Carried. C-1854.
Mr. ~a.gels,, 6933 Queen Ave. S. , opposed the commercial zoning of this
intersection. .
Wm. Medcalf, 6933 Oliver Ave. S., spoke in opposition to commercial zoning
at this location.
Otto Kleppee, 693b Queen Ave., was .opposed to commercial zoning.
Jack Huston, 6925 Oliver Ave., was also opposed to co~nercial zoning.
Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the hearing be closed, and
action be deferred until Monday, November 15, 1954, when the Villa ge attorney
