Paul J. Bliss, attorneys appeared before the`obuncl relative to.the•

propoc�i tow truck ordinance and presented a petition.
Motion by Shields,, seconded by. Rose., that the Council accept and .file
the petition containing 25 names relative to the proposed tow truck ordinance.

3. Traffic Regulation on 67th St. from Nicollet Ave. to Cedar Ame..
C. Cleland, 6700 16th Ave. S., appeared opposing stop signs on 67th St.
from Nicollet Ave. to Cedar Ave.
Arthur Quimby, 6645 Bloomington Ave., also opposed the stop signs.
It was the consensus of opinion of the Council that this matter be referred
to the manager, engineer and chief of police for further study..
Motion by Walters, seconded by Rose, that four -way stop signs or 20 mile
per hour speed limit signs be posted if permissable on 67th St. between Nicollet
and Cedar Ave. Carried.
4. Railroad & Warehouse Commission Notice of Hearing
The manager read the Minnesota Railroad and Warehouse Commission supple-
mental notice of hearing, Docket No. 5972 -9 dated October 6, 7954, relative
to public hearing on integrating of bus lines, such hearing to be held on
October 26, 1954, at 9:30 A. M. in the hearing room of the Commissioner, State
Office Bldg., St. Paul, Minn.
5. Change of Zone - Rae
A report from the Zoning Commission was read by the manager. A discussion
followed on the proposed zoning ordinance.
James L.. Rae, 901 Rae Drive,, appeared before the council relative to his
request to re -zone the property north of 66th St,described as:
Beginning at the intersection of Rae Drive and W. 66th St.., thence
east to the west boundary of the present commercial district, thence
northerly to the center line of the proposed west 65th St., thence
westerly to the center 1_ine of Rae Drive, thence southerly along the
center line of Rae Drive to the point of beginning. ,
P, V. Mabry, attorney, appeared representing neighboring opponents.
Motion by Wallick� seconded by Shields, that the Council concur in the

recommendation of the Zoning Commission to leave as open development that area
north of 66th St. at Rae Drive described above, and the council go on record as
declaring that the westerly 150 Ft. thereof is to be developed by acceptable
limited commercial development, and when this has been accomplished, the remain-
der of the area shall be zoned Limited commercial. Carried.
