Dumping of Cesspool and Septic Tank Contents into Sanitary Sewer System, Irvin Gottstein appeared• before the council representing scavenger fu~ms who are requesting permission to dump contents of septae tanks and cesspools into the sanitary sewer system. Discussion followed. Mo-ta.on by Rose, seconded by Wa1la.ck, that the council allow licensed f~ scavengers to dump contents of cesspools and septic tanks into the sani- tary sewer system sub3ect to reasonable rulesof tdze Village Engineer, and authorize the Village Attorney to draw an ordinance setting forth regula- tion and charges for such dumping. Bids -Painting of Village Hall. lviotion by Rose, seconded by Walters, that the Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids on the painting, of the Village Hall, such bids to be received at 8:00 P. T~. and to be opened at 6:15 P~ M., Nonday, P9ay 24, 1954. Carried. 15. Bads -Translucent Partition. Motion by Shields, seconded by Wa1]3.ck, that the Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids on a translucent partition on the north side of the II~ new Village Hall., such bids to be received at 8:00 P, M. and to be opened at B:15 P. The Pillage Engineer read a ~tition requesi~.ng enactment of legis- 1a.tion to prevent dogs from gafihering in packs at school bus stops and school playgrounds between the hours of ?:00 ~, M. and 4:~ P. M. on school days. Discussion followed. Motion by Wallick, seconded by Shields, that the Manager instruct the dog catcher and the police force to enforce the present dog ordinance, and that the Mayor call a mee ting of the C ound 1 a t the earliest practicable date to discuss revisions of the present dog ordinance.
