01-11-1954~4 VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD REGUTAR MEWING January ]1, 195l~ The council of the Village of Richfield met in regular session in the council chamber of the Village Hall, 6700 Portland Avenue South at 7:00 P. M. on Monda~r, January 11., 195l~. The meeting was called to order by Mayan Ki hell. - Present: Walters, -Rose, Shields, Wallick and Kitten. Absent; None. 1. Minutes. Mot3.on by Walters, seconded by Shields, that the council accept the minutes of the regular meet~.ng of December 28, 1953. Carried. 2. Incinerator Regulations. Motion by Waiters, seconded by Shields, that the council call a special order of business to hear J. H. Mosa1, 6l~20 Harriet Avenue South, on problem of incinerator regula~3.ons. Carr3.ed. Mr. Mosal appeared before the council and voiced a complaint about an incinerator at Kiddie Korner~ 61~i. Lyndale. Discussion followed. The Manager was instructed without vote to order an inspection by the Fire Department. 3. Reports. Opening of Hub Shopping Center. Mr. P. V. Mabry, Jr. appeared before the council relative to the opening of the Hub Shopping Center at 66th and Nicollet on Thursday, February 25, 195l~, and invited the council to attend. He further stated that Mr. Shandeling, the developers wished to thank the, people of Richfield for their eooperati.on and had said that Richfield is the most cooperative of any town where he has built shopping centers. 5, Bus Routing. Five residents living on Harris t Avenue between 66th Street and 70th Street appeared before the council to protest the. routing of buses on this street. Discussion fo]3.owed.. Motion by Shields, seconded by Rose, that the Manager contact the Bus Company aril request that they use Lyndale avenue as an alternate -to Harriet Avenue .between 66th Street and 70th Street.
