ADJOURNED MEETING
October 5, 1953
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the council of the Village of
Richfield met~in adjourned session in the Village Ha11, 6700 Portland Ave.
South at 7 P. M. on Monday, October 5, 1~3.
Presents Wa-hers, Rose and Iverson..
Absent: Keller and' :Shields.
1. Proposed 1954 Budget.
The council discussed the propgsed 1951 budget. Councilman Shields took
his chair during the discussion.
2. Village Project No. 139. Street Grading.
Motion by Walters, seconded by Shields, that the following resolution be .
adopted; that it be spread in the resolution book and that it be made a part
of these minutes. Carried.

Poll of vo tee : Ayes -Walters, Rose, Shields and Iverson. Nays -none.
Absent: Keller. This resolution appears as resolution No. 271G in resolution
book N o. 1.
3. Bond Issues.
The council discussed bond issues necessary far the sanitary sewer
canstru.ct3.on during the remainder of 1953.
Mayor Rell.er ~fook his chair during the discussion.
1~. Letter from Southurban DFL Club relative to voting machines.
Alotion by Shields, seconded by Walters, that _the letter from the South-
urban DFL Club expressing their favor of noting m~.chanes be accepted and
placed on file. Carried. C_1032.
5. Bonds (Continued.
Motu by Walters, seconded by Rose, that T. G. Evanson and Associates,
be requested to recommend the amount and date of bond issue necessary for
completion of sanitary sewer interceptors, said recommendation to be received
not later than October 13,1953. Carried.
Motion by Walters, seconded by Iverson, that the manager and the attorney
report jointly on the amount of bonds necessar~r to be sold for 1953 inprove-
ments, and a separate report on the amount of bonds necessary for the master
plan for sanitary sewer laterals, sanitary sewer laterals in business
districts, and Housing and Home Financing Agency Claim in the amount of
~29,~.00.00, if the latter is determined to be the final payment of loans
from said agency. Carried.
