M~ Members Present: Walters, Rose, Shields, Iverson, Reller. Members Absent: None 1. Opening bids on bonds. Pursuant to due advertisement therefor, the advertisement being read by Mayor Reller, bids were opened on X1,100,000 Gnn.eral Obligation Sewer Improvement Bond. One bid was received from J. M. Dain and Company as follows: 3 3/4~ for maturities from 1955 through 1963 both inclusive 3.90 for maturities from 19b4 throught .1968 both inclusive and 1~ for maturities from 1969 through 1973 both inclusive plus a premium of $1,100. Motion by Walters, seconded by Iverson that the following resolution be adapted, that it be spread in the resolution book and. that it be made a part of~ these minutes. Motion by Iverson, seconded by Walters, that the low bids on the construction of the sanitary sewer interceptor main be accepted as follows: Or~ei and Mariani, iti the amount of X775, 997.49 on project 174 and Phelps -Drake in the amount of ~ 603,740.75 on project No. 175 Motion Oarried. 3. Ih.vision of Property (Genevieve G, Prindle) Parties interested in the division of Lot 6 Block 2 Fiarwood Park owned by Genevieve Prindle appeared and reported an agreement had been reached on the method of dividing the parcel in question, with three alternates being offered. Motion by Walters, seconded by Sheilds to approve the division ~, provided one of the following conditions are completed: 1. That a buyer is obtained for the purchase of the south 87.1 feet in which event the north 25 feet is to be sold to R, M, Kirby, 2. That a buyer be obtained for the purchase of the entire lot for the construction of a single dwelling. 3, Tn the event that the lot is to be split into two equal portions, then the house on the north half s hall be a t least 1+en feet from the south line of • the R, M. Kirby lot and the driveway forihe same house shall be on the south side of that lot and fur-ther that the east ten feet of the full lot shall be deeded to J. A. Pace at no cost. Motion Carried. 5. Division of property (A. 0. Tryggeseth -Agent) A, O, Tryggeseth, as agent, requested the division of the west half of Lot 18 and the north half of the east half of lvt 7.8, Baumgariner's First Addition. Motion by Iverson, seconded by Walters that the petition be referred back first to determine the owner of the tract of land north of the tract in question on Eleventh Avenue South with a request that he join in the application for a division and second, that the administrator of the estate owning- the land in question sign the application.- Motion carried. 6. Bids on Roller: A+tot3.on by Walters, seconded by Iverson that the low bid of the Rosholt Equipment Company in the amounn of ~1,11~0.00 be accepted for the purchase of a rubber tired compacting roller. Motion carried. 7. Bids on Sand Spreader Motion by Walters, seconded by Reller, that the bid of Rosenwald Cooper be accepted for a sand spreader with power take-off and operating controls as being the low bid to meet specifications. Motion Carried, 8, Building Permit request by Northwestern Bell Telphone Company A request was presented from the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to build a small addition to the present- building and to construct a concrete block garage to house telephone company vehicles, said building to be on the east half of the block bounded on the south by • 66th and the east by Pleasant and the north by 65th. ~ Moti.on by Iverson, seconded by Walters that the request be referred back to the telephone company with the suggest3:on that the proper proeeedure -will be 'to request rezoning of the area in question from residential to commercial. ~i Motion carried. - 9. Release of subdividers surety bond( Gordon 7.hernell.- Principa3) Motion by Walters, seconded by Iverson that the following the recommendation of the Fangineer, the bond in the amount of X2,000 of Gordon Thernell q covering the Beverly Forrest Addit3.on sub-division be released, it appearing that the work covered by the above bond having been completed in acco~zdande with the requirements.
