Minutes of Prev3.ous Meeting Motion by Shields, seconded by Walters, that the minutes of the meeting of September 29 be approved. Carried. ' 2. Hearing on Storm Suer 'rF'TM A public hearing, ,duly advertised, was opened on proposed assessments in Storm Sewer District "F". The mayor called upon the public, but no one expressed a desire to be heard. Mota.on by Walters, seconded by Iverson, that the assessment ro11 be referred to the manager tp check the boundary lines of Stor~- Sewer District -ran and Storm Sewer District r'F'", to determine if here are any duplications of assessments, and report back- to the council. • Carried. 3. 1953 Budget< Hearing • A public hearing, duly advertised, was opened at B:oO otclock on the proposed budget for 1953. Zhe mayor called upon the public, but no one expressed a• desire to be heard.- ,. Bill--1952-25 (1953 Budget) Lotion by Iverson, seconded by Walters, that the proposed ordinance adopting a budget for the year 1953 and levying taxes be amended to provide that the sum of ~2~ OOO be added for Sanitary. Sewers, and that the .general tax levy be set at lss,o5o. Carr3.ed. Carried: the Village Attorney then recommended that in view of the fact that there is an October 10th deadline for certifying the tax levy to the coun~Ly auditor, an emergency be declared, end that the ordinance be presented for second reading. ~ot3on by Walters, seconded by Iverson, that requirements of Section b of the Rules of the Ordinance relating :to the first and second reading of an ordinance be waived, and that Bill 1952-25 be placed on second reading.
