06-09-1952is MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING June 9, 1952 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Hall Monday, June 9, 1952.. Members present: Reller, Iverson, Shields Members absent: Walters, Lindeberg Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was deferred- to Tuesday, June 10th, 1. Fainjood Park Project A delegation. from the Penn Avenue Business Men's Association appeared relative to the Village's participation in the construction of a warming house at Fairwood Park. The matter was referred to the-Manager for investigation into the previous agreements, for presentation at the Tuesday meeting. -2. Building Permit Approval Dr. J. J. Heisler applied for a building permit for the construction of a clinic at 6222 -28 Lyndale Avenue S., on Lots 1 & 2, Block 1, Falld6nl i c. Addition. Moved by Iverson,, seconded by Shields that the Mayor be authorized to -sign for the project°provi�ing the building complies with the provisions of the building code and engineer s recommendation. Motion carried. 3. Highway #100 Project . The manager reported that the Division Engineer of the State Highway Department has asked for.the reaction of the Council concerning the Possible parti- cipation by the Village in the improvement of State Highway No. 100, along 78th Street from Humboldt to 34th Avenue South. The Village would pay tzienty -five percent of the cost of the north seven feet of extra width of the highway, plus curb and gutter. The Council referred the matter to the Manager to obtain from the State the probable total cost, more details of the plans, and to report that the Village was interested in the project. 4. Opening of Bids Bids were opened on the following: Spraybar Concrete Piers Liquefied Petroleum Gas Chain Link Industrial Fence Moved by Iverson, seconded by Shields that the bids on the spraybar be referred to the Village Manager for tabulation, and presentation to Council for action at the Tuesday, June 10th meeting.
