Village of Richfield
March 24, 1952
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, an adjourned meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Richfield, Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Hall
in said Village°on Monday, March 24, 1952 at 7:00 o'clock P.M.
• Members present: Reller, Walters, Iverson, Lindeberg and Shields
Members absent: ~ None.
The Mayor. announced that the first order of business would be items on the
agenda.
1. Applications for Licenses
(a) Arnold E. Jacobson - Used Car Lot

Moved by Iversony seconded by Walters that this application be referred to
the Zoning Commission for a public hearing to be held at their next regular meet-
3.ng, April 21~ 1952, the Village Clerk to give due notice of said hearing by publi-
cation in the official newspaper. Carried.
(b) Richard E. Thomas • Pool Table

• The Police Department recommended that this pool table be located on the
first floor iri order that the police officers would have better surveillance.
Moved by Walters, seconded by Iverson that this application be approved and -
a license issued subject to the applicant's following the°reeoimnendation of the
Police Department. Carried.

-`1. Mr. Donald C. Paula.ng, 7519 Blaisdell Avenue, .requested permission to construct
-`~~ ~ a"body shop at 78th..Street and .5th Avenue South, and to operate a used car-lot
in connection therewith.
Moved by Iverson, seconded by Walters that the request for~the used car lot be
referred to the Zoning Commission for public hearing to be held at their next regu-
];ar meeting, April 21, 1952, at 8:00 P.M., the Village Clerk to give due no tice~of~
said hearing by publication in the: official newspaper. Carried.
2. Mr. L. C. Buzzard, h221 Chicago Avenue, protested the Councils denial of his
'request fora special use permit to operate a used car lot at 70th Street and
Ni~colle t Avenue, and requested the Council to reconsider its action. Mr. Buzzard .
stated that since this was commercial property, he could not be denied the right
to operate a used car lot on this property.
Moved by Walters, seconded by Lindeberg, that the Council reconsider-their
actt.on denying the permit, and take final action at the regular council meeting
on March 31, 1952, the Clerk to dive due notice of this action by publication in
the official newspaper.

The Attorney read the proposed contract between the Village of. Richfield
and Mr. C, Adams setting forth the terms under which Mr. Adams would function

9. Adjustment of Land Values
