03-05-1952272 ADJOURK0 COUNCIL 14EETING e Village . of Richfield March 5, 1952 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, an adjourned meeting of the Vil- lage Council of the Village of Richfield, Minnesota, was duly held at the Vil- lage Hall in-said Village on Wednesday, March 5, 1952 at 8:15 P.M. Members Present: Reller, Walters, Iverson,,Lindeberg and Shields Members Absent: None 1. Report on Meeting with Businessmen regarding Sigm Ordinance Mayor Reller advised the Council that.the businessmen requested a revision of the present Sign Ordinance. The Mayor stated that he had advised them that until the Council had time to consider the matter, probably within the next two weeks, the Village mould not follow up on the recent notice that sign owners must comply with the Ordinance. It was informally agreed by the Council that this procedure would be followed by the Administrative Staff. 2. Request by Mr. Robert Mar:,:ay for Permission to Establish a Machine Shop on the Northeast Corner of 66th & Cedar Avenue The Council informally advised Tyr. Murray' that a metal shop at this address was permissible since the location was in a Co,mercial Zone which permitted this type of business. 3. Site for Oil Storage Tank The Village Manager reported to the Council that the YAamesota Northfield and Southern Railroad may be able to provide a site for an oil storage tank on their spur located at about 79th Street South and the anticipated cost of the lease would be about 550.00 per year. The Council informally directed the 111an.a- ger to proceed to complete arrangements for lease by the Village of such site. 4. Platting Ordinance The Council considered a proposed ordinance governing platting in the Village. A first darft of a platting ordinance, drawn from several out -of -state sources, was,read and discussed. No action was taken on the proposed ordinance. 5. Plat- E. F. Stoyke Addition Moved by Walters, seconded by Iverson that the Council approve the plat of E. F. Stoyke Addition, on condition that the streets be put to a grade determined by the Village Engineer and that o ther recommendations of the Engineer contained in a written memorandum dated March 3, 1952, are followed. Plat - Wallace's Sunnyside Acres Second Addition Moved by Iverson, seconded by Walters that the Plat of Wallace's Sunnyside Acres Second Addition be approved in accordance with the Engineer's-recommen dations contained in a memorandum dated February 25, 1952, with the exception 11
