03-03-1952ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING Village of Richfield March 3, 195$ , Pursuant to due call and''notice thereof, an- adjourned meeting'of the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Hall in said Village on Monday, March 3, 1952 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. 4 Members,present: Reller, Walters,.Iverson, Lindeberg and Shields Members absent: None announ ed the first order of business would be items. on the a ends,.' The Mayor c g _. 1. Applications for licenses e (a) Henry Harem 9740 Humboldt S. Plumber (b) Sandyta 6612 Penn Ave. S. Dancing for 14 days during month of March Moved by Walters, seconded by Shields that said applications be approved Carrie4 S ',5 .2. Site for Oil Storage Tank The Village Manager reported on his investigation of a possible location for the erection of an oil storage tank. The Augsburg Park Area appeared to be the. most logical location; being the most centrally located and having a large area., the tank would be a considerable, distance from any residence. The _Manager was instructed to make further investigation and report. The Council informally agreed that before 4a ,location was decided upon, all interested residents would be' noti- fied and given an opportunity to be heard. 3. Bids for Road 0il for Coming Season ]Dved by .Iverson, seconded by Walters that the Village advertise for bids for - ;tne d6i4.t 4.eason's supply of road oil, said bids to be opened at the - last,.regtt -• {' lax' meeting in March. Carried. 4. Dedication of 'Street to Village 77th ftteet from Bryant to . Colfax. No action taken. 5. Request for Street Opening by Mr. A. M. Carlson - Blaisdell from 64th. to 642 Stw The Manager was informally instructed to advise Mr. Carlson that this may be done privately by him or by the Village, in which case the cost would be assessed against the abutting property. 6. Mr. M. C. Tho son, 1516 E. 66th Street, requested permission to construct an addition 22!!!x341 to the West side of his present commercial building at 1516 East 66th Street. Moved .by Walters, seconded by Iverson that the Mayor be authorized to issue, a.building permit for the construction of said addition, subject to the .card owner'$ full compliance with the Building Ordinance. Carried, 2TO - 3/3/52 7. Radford Case The Harry W. Smith Company, 2100 Lyndale Ave. S. presented a claim. of 617.00 for ambulance service for carrying Edwin Radford from 7121 First Avenue South to the University Hospital Ybved by Walters, seconded by Iverson that the claim be approved for pay- ment. Carried. 8. Election of Councilmen to Employees' Advisory Board Moved by Iverson, seconded by Shields that Tom Walters be appointed to the Em- ployees' Advisory Board for one year. Carried. 9. D. 0- Neslund and E. R. Conry requested a building permit for the construction of a manufacturing plant at 64th S tree t & Penn Avenue. Moved by Iverson, seconded by 1dalters that the Council offer no objection to the issuance of a building permit for the construction of said plant, provided the oiners deed 30 feet of land on Qaeen Avenue and 17_ feet on Penn Avenue for street purposes and that the requirements of all applicable Village Ordinances be complied with. Carried. 10. Tax Forfeited Land RESOLUTION - Trustee Walters offered the following resolution, and moved its adoption:. WHEREAS, The Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin County, Minnesota, has received from the County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota, . a list of lands in said village which become the property of the State of Ki.nne- sota under the provisions of law declaring the forfeiture of lands to the State for non - payment of taxes; which said list has been designated as List "344 -C", February 19, 1952; and WHE h , each parcel of land described in said list has heretofore been classified by the Board of County Commissioners of Hennepin County, Minnesota as non - conservation land and the sale thereof has heretofore been authorized by said Board of County Commissioners. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By said Village Council, acting pursuant to Minnesota Statutes for .19145, Section 282.01, that the said classification by said Board of County Commissioners of each parcel of land described in said list as non - conservation land be and the same is hereby approved and that the sale of each such parcel of land be and the same is hereby approved.
