Pursuant to due ~a7.1 anal notice . thereof, a regular meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Richfield, Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Hall '
in. said Village on Monday, February 25, 1952 at 7:00 o'clock P.M, .~
Members present: Reller, Iverson, Shields and Walters -
Members absent: None -
1. The Mayor called the meeting to order and announced the appointment of Mr. Omer M.
Lindeberg, 6520 -20th Avenue South, to the Village Council for the term expiring
Deeember 31, 1952. - -
It was moved by Shields, seconded by Iverson that the appointment be confirmed.
Carried.
2. The minutes of the Regular Meeting held Februa~ 11, 1952, were read and corrected.
Moved by Iverson, seconded by Shields that said minutes as corrected be ap-
p~:oved. Carried, ~ -
3. The minutes of the Adjourned Meeting held Febraary 18, 1952 were read: .

The Mayor announced that the next order of business would be items on the agenda.

5. Park Construction Company Request for Re-negotiation of •Contract for Grading- in
Storm Sewer District # D-3
The Village Engineer and Manager recommended that the Park Construction Company.-
be held to the provisions of their contract. '_
Moved by Walters, seconded by Shields 'chat the Council concur in the recom-
mendations of the Manager and Engineer. Carried, ~,
6. The Village Attorney read Ordinance 11.05

OF PARENTS AND OTHERS I1U THE CARE OF MINORS AND PROVIDING
FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF '

(a) Moved by Walters, seconded by Iverson that this constitute the second
reading of said ordinance. Carried.
(b) Moved by Iverson, seconded by Walters that said ordinance be adopted•and•
ordered published according to law.

the South side of 67th Street from Portland Avenue to Park Avenue.

9. Mr. Sidney Sanford,! 7000. Portland Avenue, appeared before the Council on behalf rt~
of the sportsmen in `this area requesting the repeal .of the Village Firearms
Ordinance. Mr. Sanford very thoroughly presented the sportsmen's side of the ..
- issue. No one appeared in favor of keeping the present ordinance.

ted to draw up`a preliminary draft of a Repealing Ordinance. Carried.

10. Mr. ~. A. l~,i.rray, representing the Associated Contractors of I~-i.nneapolis, sub-
mitted a preliminary plat of i~rray Lane South Addition.
1~loved by Iverson, seconded by Shields that the Village Council offer no
objection to a plat of i'~a.rray Lane South Addition as proposed, provided the
platter file with the Village Council written evidence that they krill follow the
recommendations of the Village Engineer and fulfill all rectuirements of the
Village Platting Ordinance. Carried.
11. Nlr. E. F. Stoyke presented a sketch o~" the proposed plat of E. F. Stoyke Addition.
I~ved by TnTalters, seconded bar Iverson that. the matter be referred to the
Village Engineer for recommendations. Carried.
12. Mr. Charles Adams appeared in regard to entering into a contract between himself
and the Village pertaining to the handling of dogs under his appointment as dog
catcher for the Village. He made several recommendations which he thought would
facilitate the handling of this problem.

draft of a contract incorporating the recommendations of Mr. Ada~~.s, and present
same to the Council at its next meeting. Carried.
