The Tillage ~3anager presented the following items on the a~ninistrative agenda: 1. 1 rec~west from Edwin Richter, ?733' Portland Avenue, for a permit to build an inciner- ator at the rear of the Red furl Building. Called on Member Walters far a report on the meeting of the Ordinance Cc~ittee held on December 3, 1951. Inber Walters stated that the Curfew Ordinance was reaclp for a first reading unless there were objections to it. On motion of Walters, seconded by Bowen, the Village ®ttornsy was instructed to write a letter to the Continental Oil Compaq, wh3.eh eompe.~r is planning to construct the 'station in question, informing them of the petition for the denial of their request for a banding permit. Carried. 19. Head two letters protesting the proposed installation by the Vii.lage, of an oil storage tank near Augsburg Park. The letters were from Nlr. Perk G. Erspa~mer. and Mr. D. ~. Leslie and wi]1 be found on file in the Glerkts office. Both protests were based on the assumption that the insta]lation of said tank would create a traffic vazard to the school children and mar the bea~tjy of the area. The Mar~,ger stated that he and the Engineer were still looking far a substitute location and that no action would be taken without informing the interested parties. The Council informally directed the Manager to write a letter to those who had indicated their opposition telling them that they world be notified before any definite action was taken ~' the Gaunoil. 20. Reported that Mr. Engberg, an appr~.ser being employed by the Village to contact property owners in the Grass Ieke area, reported that he haa~co~ ttcted virtually a]1 of the owners and would like to meet with the Council at a speoial meeting soon.
