All members were presegt. The Mayor asked if fi~here were aqy items to be taken up before considers the budget. v . 1. The Clerk read a letter from Br. G. G• `Bastye requesting par~.ssion to operate a small. ax~.ma~, ho_epital, commencing Januarg 1, 1952s at 6340 Lyndale Avenue S. ,_ • --_. It was moved by Trustee Bowen, seconded by Trustee Littlejohn that the Clerk ~ authorized to issue a kennel license to ~3r.- G. G. Bartle,for b3~°0 Lyndale Avenue S. Carried' r ~ ~ - Trustee Walters moved for a reconsideration of the motion after consultation on the setter with the;Yillage Attorney. w. Carried. - It was movedeby Trustee Bowen, seconded-~ R~ustee Walters that as of now and up to this time it is the intent of the Council that the ~1~300.85 r~• maiA3ng unpaid on the fees fcr the Public Examiner's a~tit far the ~®ars 197, 1948, and 1949, (petitioned for by the people of the ~;lie) ~i,s to be ~a3,d by a special tau levg oert3.f3ed by~the State Auditor. Carried„4 3. In considering 'the cost of operating t1r~ .Pi7lags goverment Trustee /Walte~rs egg®stal that the Clerk's and Ts-ee~surer~s pos~Ltions be oomb3ned. The Matiagarread a letter from Mr. Ray ~onahan stating that the Softball ~ Association would ].ils to have the ball field at Augsburg Park sodded and that if the Council would provide the sod the Association would provide the labor for laying.. the same. Mr. LaMettry also requested the followings Thai the Village Personnel Ora~in,en3ca ba amended to provide that all Village e~plogees would receive the ~ ma~.mum, salary in their range after five years of serv3,ee; that the Village ~ , pay at least a part of the group hospital and surgical benefits insuranos pr~.ums; that the. Village increase the allowance for u~aiforms for members of the Folice Depari~ent. The Attorneg pointed out that the payment by the Village for ins~czrance and uniforms would not be legal. Mr. ettrg then r+squasted that this~be ta&en into account in cor~iderl.ng the request for the ~30•t)C across-.the-board salary increase.° ° 7. Trustee Walters requested at this time a reconsideration of the motion authorizing the Clerk to issue a kennel license to Dr. G* ~ Hartle. It was moped by Trustee Walters, seconded by Trustee Iverson that the matter be referred to the Zoning Commission. There being two. votes in favor and three against, the motion was ddfeated. 8s Mr. tiraat Hughes, Manager of the Village Liquor Store requested peg raises ~ for certain e~aployees of the Liquor Store. He stated that some of tI~ employees have indicated their dissatisfaction with the present pay scale. ~- 9. The Maa~ager presented the proposed peg p].axi for Village, employrees for the gear 1$52.
