The total amount of Improvements, X36,605,69, ,Mr. l~.vis present®d an alternate method of payment. The total assessment against property owners will be ~19,Ob3.06. The remainder to be made a general obligation issue, which woulcymean that if the property oHmers paid the total. assessment the one,, who now pays .$418.17 would pay X297.16; the one .who is now paying X225.00 would, under the general obligation set up, pay X116.21. No action taken. ~• The Council then heard 0. B. Erickson of St. Louis Park on the matter of establishing a public nursing service in ru~ral,$ennepin County. He stated that it would cost approximately 30¢ per capita. to run this nursing system. Methods of financing and establishing-said service were discussed at length. It was moved by E. Iverson, seconded by G. Bowen that the Council send a letter to Fred Feller, Chairman of;the Taxpayers Association and Don Bruer, their Attorney, inviting them to attend the meeting of ,the League of Hennepin County Municipalities which would be held at the, Red Owl warehouse in Hopkins at 8:00 p.m. on July 26, 1951.
