$,~ Tom Walters reported on the insurance committees meeting with t he Insurance
me~-who write insurance for the Village. He asked about policies #110202 on Monies
and Securities and on X221132 on Plate Glass a t the Diquor Store: The Clerk was
instructed to get information on these two policies.

Tom Walters and seconded by Ernest Iverson that the report be filed. Carried.

Z'~} Tom finTalters suggested the appointment of a Citizens Committee to study
sewer and grater problems i.n the Village and to prepare a report for the Council
and the Village Manager. A Committee of about 12 was suggested to be appointed
consisting of various businessmen such as Engineers, Attorneys, Bond Experts,
Businessment and sportsmen. Gordon Bowen stated that he w as not opposed to
the appointment of such a committee but asked how this would tie in with the work
already assigned to the Engineer and 'the Village Manager. Mr. Harlow also
stated that he was in favor of such a committee. A question was raised as to
how this type of group could be used. It was moved by Tom Walters and seconded
by Exnest Iversor_ that the Council bring ixi the names of three men who would
serve on such a committee and who would study the problems of sewer and water
for the Village. Said report to be presented at the first meeting ih April.

""service Commission in connection with the vacane~r in the Police Department
and that, he must, out of necessity, appoint said person.

The Council of the Village of Richfield met in a special meeting on Monday,
March 19th, 1951,at x:15 F.M. All members were present, including the Village
Manager, Clayton'LaFevere and Mr. Ondick of Local 661.
The purpose of the meetir~ was to meet with Mr. Ondick in accordance with
~~an agreement previously made. Mr. Ondick, business agent for hocal 66t~ which
was understood to represent the employees of the Village Street Department, was
to submit the ~rYshes of the street department employees who are members of the
union with respect to salaries and other personnel matters.
