AUTf10RI7_AT~ION TO OPERATE BUSES
. ON CERTAIN RICHFIELD STREETS
4lHEREAS, the City of Richfield has requested east-
west bus service on 76th Street, and
4lHEREAS, this service conforms to both the adopted
Comprehensive Plan and to the 494/.100 Southdale Corridor
Transportation Study, anal
4lHEREAS, the service will provide transit bus access
to Sou~~hdale Shop-ping Center, YQ•rktown area, Metropolitan
Sports complex ar~d downtown St. Paul, and
4SHEREAS, the service will provide availability to
both commercial and residential land areas along 76th
Street, reduce congestion and improve safety.
N04l, THEREFORE, 6E IT RESOLVED, that the City Council,
City of Richfield concurs with the proposal to operate buses
on the following streets which presently have no bus service:
1. 76th Street from Richfield-Edina city limits to Sheridan
Avenue South;
2. 76th Street from Third Avenue South to Chicago Avenue
South;
3. Chicago Avenue South from 76th Street to 77th Street;
4. 77th Street from Chicago Avenue South to 12th Avenue
South.
