RESOLUTION N O. 5562
APPROVAL OF'CO:NCEPT PLAN FOR WASHINGTON PARK, APPROVAL OF
FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE
FOR BIDS FOR WASHINGTON PARK TENNIS FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the city council has ordered City Project No. 673 for the con-
struction of new tennis court facilities in the City of Richfield, and
WHEREAS, Donaldson Park and Washington Park have been determined to
be the sites for said tennis court facilities, and
WHEREAS, the construction of tennis courts at Donaldson Park as part of
City Project No. 673 is complete, and
WHEREAS, a concept plan for Washington Park, including the location within
the park for new tennis court construction, is hereby complete and approved by
the Washington Park neighbors and Park and Recreation Advisory Commission, and
WHEREAS, city staff has completed the preparation of final plans and
specifications for the construction of four new tennis courts at Washington Park
with a practice court included in said plans and specifications as.ari alternate
bid, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the city council, the city staff, and the city
residents to have said tennis courts at Washington Park available for play in the
19 77 sea son , and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota as follows:
1 . That the concept plan for Washington Park is hereby approved

3 . That the city clerk is hereby aLt horized and directed to advertise for
bids on said improvement as required by law.
