RESOLUTION NO. 5450
A RESOLUTION CONTINUING AGRANT-IN-AID PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF
RICHFIELD IN PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE PROGRAM FOR THE CALENDAR
YEAR 1976 BY AUTHORIZING THE REVISION OF THE 1976 BUDGET. ,.
WHEREAS , the State of Minnesota provides for the making of grarsts ,
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.Q23, to assist residential
property owners in removal and disposal of diseased trees,
and r-•
WHEREAS, the eligibility criteria for the making of such a grant to the
city requires the establishment of a local grant-in-aid program and the
allocation of local funds for that purpose,
and
,. ~ WHEREAS, such a program will be beneficial to Richfield residents and
the community as a whole by reducing the spread of shade tree disease,
NOW, THEREFOR, be it resolved by the city council of the City of
Richfield:

. 1. That the city. manager continue to institute and direct the Richfield
Grant-in-Aid Program .
2. That the 1976 budget of the General Fund is revised as follows:
a . That $15 , 000 be appropriated from the Unallocated Contingency
account to the street department.
b. That the 1976 estimated revenues be revised to show an increase
of $7, 5 00 in intergovernmental revenues .
3. That the city manager and the finance director bring into effect the
provisions of this resolution.
