RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR CORRECTION OF STORM DRAINAGE. IN
2973 PERMANENT STREET IMPROVEMENT ON 62ND STREET AT 14TH
AND 15TH AVENUES AND TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM IlN~.'ROVEMENT
BONDS OF 1973
CITY PROJECT N0. 684
WHEREAS, in 2973, the City constructed permanent street surfacing,
concrete curb and gutter, .ornamental street lighting and appurtenances
thereto, and
;~ WHEREAS, such improvement was specialty assessed in 1974 to at1
property owners benefited by this improvement, and
WHEREAS, the storm drainage on 62nd Street at 14th and t5th Avenues
` ~ appears to be inadequate in that it does not remove the surface water and
creates other traffic problems to the annoyance and dissatisfaction of
abutting property owners, and
WHEREAS, it appears desirable to correct the storm drainage problem
in this area and to provide funds for this correction from unused bond
proceeds of the Improvement Bonds of 1973.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota:
1. That such improvement, City Project No. 684, is hereby ordered.
2. That Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. are hereby designated
as Engineers for this improvement. They shall prepare plans. and
specifications for the making of such improvement.
3, That the sum•~of $20,000 is hereby appropriated far the project
from the Improvement Bonds of 1973 Fund.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield this 14th day of
October, 1975.
