RESOLUTION RELATING TO•'PARKING -
RESTRICTIONS IN AREAS WHERE
STREET IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION •
IS IN PROGRESS
WHEREAS, the city council has from time to time adopted
parking restrictions on various streets throughout the city, and
WHEREAS, the city council has authorized the construction of
various street surfacing, curb and gutter and ornamental street.
lighting improvements throughout the city, and .
WFiEREA5, the construction of -such improvement projects,- while
it is in progress, disrupts and in many cases prevents the use of
streets and private property for parking purposes in the manner- •
or td the extent that they normally would be used, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed desirable to make adaflable for parking
certain areas-that under normal conditions would be sroblemstcreated
parking restrictions, in order to alleviate parking p •
by such construction.. .
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city council of the City
of Richfield as follows:
~.. The public safety director,- acting pursuant to the super-
vision of the city manager, is hereby authorized to sus-
pend enforcement of parking restrictions on streets which are
being constructed or reconstructed and on streets in-the immediate
vicinity thereof, to the extent that he deems such action necessary
• in order to alleviate parking problems in the area of such con-
struction. - '
2. In that connection, he is hereby authorized to.cover ("bag°)
• •or remove signs denoting such parking restrictions during
the times when such restrictions are not to be enforced; and upon .
