RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT TO
B-E ENTERPRISES, INC. FOR BUILDING WORK AT ROOSEVELT
PARK AND ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT TO
BITUMINOUS ROADWAYS, INC. FOR SITE WORK AT ROOSEVELT
PARK.

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota,
as follows:
1. That it is hereby determined that the bid of B-E Enterprises, Inc. is the
lowest base bid at $49,570.00, including selected alternates as follows:

#3. Unit heater and electricradia~tion-:~ ~` +$ 850.00
by a responsible bidder for the shelter building construction~of City Project
No. 671, Roosevelt Park.
2. That the bid.of B-E Enterprises, Inc. for the construction of the shelter
building of the above-referenced project, at the price contained in their
proposal. of May .9, 1975, with an estimated construction cost of $50,995.00
is hereby accepted.
3. That it is hereby determined-that the bid of Bituminous Roadways, Inc.
is the lowest base bid at $229,120.07, including selected. alternates as
follows: -
B. Furnish and install a timber maze tot lot +$ 3,095.00
D. Furnish and install infield mix an the northeast softball +$ 1,271.00
field
G. Credit for electrical salvage -$ 1,100.00
J. Furnish and install complete irrigation +$ ]8,685.00
(This alternate reduces the base bid by $12,755.00) -
N. Provide stripping Qf parking lot and hard court +$ 250.00.
P. Furnish and install time clock for. hockey lights ~ ~ +$ 370.00
by a responsible bidder-for the site construction of City Project No~.~671,
Roosevelt Park.
4. That the bid of Bituminous Roadway, Inc. for the site construction of the
the above reference project, at the price contained in their proposal of
May 9, 1975, with an estimated-.construction cost of $238,936.07 is hereby.
accepted. ~ -
5. That the proposed contracts between 6-E Enterprises, Inc., Bituminous -
Roadways, Inc. and the City of Richfield be -given Clerk's File No..9627
and be placed on file. That said proposed contracts for the-construction
of .said city project are. hereby approved and adopted and the Mayor and the
City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute said conta~acts
for or on behal f of the City of Ri chfi el.d-and the Clerk- is authorized -and.

directed to affix the. city seal thereto.
6. That payments to be made under the terms of said contracts shall be charged
against the Construction Fund.
7. That the Corporate Surety Bonds in the sum of the estimated contract prices
-which accompany said proposed contracts are hereby accepted and. approved.
8. That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to return the security
documents to the unsuccessful bidders upon the execution of said proposed
contracts.
