RESOLUTION N0. 5358
RESOLUTION RELATIVE TO VACATING THE
EAST 30 FEET OF NE6~lTON AVENUE FROM
77TH STREET TO 1/2 BLOCK SOUTH -
WHEREAS, The Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, did by Resolution No. 2500, dated July 24, 1961,
vacate the East 30 feet of Newton Avenue from 77th Street to 1/Z BTock
South according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota, as the
same was then dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the
Village of Richfield; and
WHEREAS, the description used in said Resolution No. 2500 does
not clearly and unambiguously describe that part of Newton Avenue which
was intended to be vacated thereby.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Hennepin County, Minnesota, that the part of Newton Avenue
intended to be vacated by said Resolution No. 2500, is more accurately
described as follows, to-wit:
A11 that part of the East 30 feet of Newton Avenue lying" ~ _
.Southerly of the South line of West 77th Street and lying
northerly of a line drawn parallel to and 328.24 feet
South of said South line of West 77th Street as measured
along the centerline thereof, according to the plat thereof_
on file and of record in the office of the Register of Deecls
in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota.
. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield this 12th
day of May, 1975.
