RESOLUTION ESTP,BLISHING APRIL 7, 1975 AS
BI CENTENNIAL DAY IN RICHFIELD IVII-NNESOTA
WHEREAS, the citizens of Richfield want to participate in the nationwide
program of celebrating the two hundreth anniversary of the founding of our country
and
WHEREAS, the city council has established a Richfield Bi Centennial
• Committee, and
W'I3EREAS, the Richfield Bi Centennial Committee has affiliated itself with
the Hennepin County Bi-Centennial Commission, and
WHEREAS, residents of the community have developed a seminar with a

theme of "Celebration of Life" to be held April 6 through April 13, 1975, and
WHEREAS, on Monday, April 7, 1975, as an integral part of the week long
community seminar on work, worship and play, there will be a special emphasis
placed upon the celebration of the bi-centennial
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield,. Minnesota, that Monday, April 7, 1975 be established as Bi-
Centennial Day in Richfield, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Richfield will proudly fly the
Bi-Centennial flag and use the Bi-Centennial logo.

March, 19.75.
