RESOLUTION RELATING TO TI-IE 1975
SALARY COMPENSATION PLAN
WFIEREAS, Section 2.33 ®f the Ordinance Code of the City cf Richfield
provides that the city council sh.al?. adopt by resolution pay plans for city em-
ployees which pay plans shall include the assignment of classes to pay grades
with minimurri and ~ra~irrium of progression through the pay grade, and
WEl"EREAS, Sec~.icn 2.33 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Richfieldo
provides that the City Manager shall be responsible for administering the pay
plan, and
WIIEREASo the City manager has prepared a 1975 pay plan for certain
[trsanagement positions in the city service .
NOW, TI~EREFOREo LE IT RESOLVED that the City Council do and hereby
do>es ~;stab~.ish for th.e year 1.975 t:~~e followi.ng pay plan to lae effective on the
first day of the pay period closest to January 1, 1975 and subject to the
provisions contained herein.

I. Bm?~loyees shall be eligible for individual adjustments on the
ef.~ective date of this resolution except for employees appointed
after January I ® 1974 who shall be eligible for individual adjust-
ments on their respective anniversary dates.
2. The city manager may grant additional individual salary adjust-
ments at times other than those specified above provided the city
council is advised of the adjustment and the reasons therefore at
least three weeks prior to the time the adjustment is proposed to
be implemented to provide the city council with an opportunity to
override the adjustment.
3. When granting individual salary adjustments, the city manager
shall consider the following factors:
a) The level of compensation necessary to attract and retain
competent and professionally trained personnel.
b) Performance.
c) Relationship of salary with that of those supervised,

d) Recognition of difference in professional training and experience.
e) Degree of responsibility, number of. employees supervised and
scope of departmental programs,
f) Degree of confidence in employee .
4. The City Manager shall file with the city council each year, before the
end of the year, a report of his action in exercise of this authority.
