RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION N0. 5041 OF THE
CITY COUNCIL ADOPTED JULY 9, 1973, WHICH RESOLUTION
WAS ENTITLED "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION
IN THE METRO RATE AUTHORITY; DIRECTING THE EXECUTION
AND DELIVERY OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT AND DESIG-
NATING A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY AS ITS MEMBER ON
THE BOARD OF THE METRO RATE AUTHORITY.."
tiJHEREAS, by Resolution Number 5041 of the City Council of the City `
- ~ of Richfield, the city was authorized and directed to
participate in a joint and a cooperative agreement for
membership of the city in the Metro Rate Authority, and
WfiEREAS, the Metro Rate Authority was not organized-because .an
insufficient number of metropolitan member communities
adopted the proposed uniform electric franchise which.
the Metro Rate Authority would have administered, and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota legislature has now provided for the
regulation of retail electric rates by the Public Service
Commission of the State of Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, that Resolution Number 5041 is
hereby rescinded.
