RESOLUTION DETERMINING LOWES'Z' RESPONSIBLE BIDDER
AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PTJRCHASE OF ARTICULATED
RUB~3ER TIRED LOADER
WHEREAS, competitive bids have 'been received by the city for the sale
to the city of an articulated rubber tired loader, and
WHEREAS, it appears necessary .for the council, to e~raluate the bids
received and to make a determination as to the lowest responsible bidder
based upon such evaluationo
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The city council herewith makes the following determination:
a, That the bid received from the Case Power & Equipment Company
is not acceptable as a bid due to an obvious error in the
bid form which makes actual oasts determinations impossible.
b. The reva.ew of the bid received from Ziegler, Inc, is hereby
found and determined to be a responsible bid on the articulated
rubber tired loader.
c. This determination is based upon suoh. conside.r.ations as:
~l) The unit bid by Ziegler, Inc. meets the specifications
requ~.red by the city.
~2) The price bid by Ziegler, Ino. is .reasonable and it
would be to the advantage of the city to accept this
bido
(3) The bid of Ziegler, Ino. to supply an artic~zlated rubber
tired loader in the amount ®f $37,051 with a maximum
guaranteed maintenance cost of $2,000 and a guaranteed
repurohase price of $30,115 is hereby aocepted.
