RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT TO
METRO ENGINEERING, INC.
FOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS (EXCLUDING POND DREDGING) AT AUGSBURG PARK
CITY PROJECT N0. 660

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota,
as follows:
1. That at the bid opening on April 22, 1974, 10:00 am, C.D.S.T., in the Council
Chambers of Richfield City Hall sealed bids for the site improvement (excluding pond
dredging) of Augsburg Park were opened and read aloud by the City Manager.
2. That the lowest bid by a responsible bidder meeting specifications, including
base bid and selected add alternates A, B, E, F, G, J, L, and I~f, is Metro Engineering, Inc.
3. That the base bid plus selected alternates of Metro Engineering, Inc., for the
site improvements (excluding pond dredging) as a portion of the above referenced project,
at the price contained in their proposal of April 22 „1974, with an estimated construction
cost of $164,944.25, is hereby accepted.
4. That the proposed contract between Metro Engineering, Inc.. and the City of
Richfield be given clerks file No. C-9526 and be placed on file, That said proposed
contract for the site improvements (excluding pond dredging) of that portion of said
city project is hereby approved and adopted and the mayor and manager are hereby'
authorized and directed to execute said contract for or on behalf of the City of Richfield
and the clerk is authorized and directed to affix the city seal thereto.
5. That payment to be made under the terms of said contract shall be charged against
the project fund.
6. That the corporate surety bond in the sum of the estimated contract price which
accompanies said proposed contract is hereby accepted and approved.
7. The city clerk is authorized and directed to return the security documents
to-the unsuccessful bidders upon the execution of said proposed contract.
