RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TO BE RECEIVED ON APRIL 5, 1974 FOR
ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTS AND APPURTENANCES THERETO

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 4980, passed by the City Council on the 14th day of May,
.1973,. preliminary reports for ornamental street lighting and appurtenances thereto for
City Project No. 657, Districts Nos. 6 and 13, by Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates,
(Consulting Engineers) were so ordered, and
W.~RE.~1S, pursuant to Resolution No. 5040, passed by the City Council on the 9th day
of July, 1973, the preliminary reports so ordered were received a,nd public hearings on
said improvements ~rere so ordered to be held on the lst~and 2nd days of August, 197.3,
and
WHEREAS, by Resolutions Nos. 5051 and 5053 passed by the City Council on the 13th day
of August, 1973, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. was so ordered to prepare plans
and specifications for ornamental street lights and appurtenances thereto for City Project
No. 657, Districts Nos. 6 and 13, as outlined in said Resolution No. 4980 except in the
following areas: Fourth Avenue from 67th Street to 68th Street; East Pleasant Avenue
from 62nd Street to 73rd Street and 70th Street from Portland Avenue to East Pleasant.

aovember, 1973, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. was so ordered to prepare plans
and specifications for permanent street surfacing and appurtenances thereto for Fourth
Avenue from 67th to 68th Street, and
WIiEREAS, by Resolution No. 5117, passed by the City Council on the 12th day of
November,-1973, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Tnc. was so ordered to prepare plans
and specifications for permanent street surfacing and appurtenances thereto for East
Pleasant Avenue from 62nd Street to 73rd Street, and
. WHEREAS,: by Resolution No. 5123, passed by the City Council on the 26th day of
November, 1973, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. was so ordered to prepare plans
and specifications for permanent street surfacing and appurtenances thereto for 70th
Street from Portland Avenue to East Pleasant Avenue, and
7vTHEREAS, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. has presented such plans and
specifications to the council for approval.
1~TOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota,
as follows
1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved, Clerk's
File No.
2. That sealed bids will be publicly opened by the City Manager on
April 5, 1974 at 11:00 A.M. in the council chambers of the city
hall and that such bids will be tabulated and presented to the
City Council for award on April 8, 1974.

3. That all bids shall be filed with the City Clerk not later than
11:00 a.m. on the 5th day of April, 1g7~+, and that said bids will
opened and read aloud at that time.
~+. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise
for bids on said improvement as required by law.
