ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TO BE RECEIVED ON MARCH 15, 1.,974 FOR
PERMANENT STREET SURFACING, CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER AND
APPURTENANCES THERETO.

WHEREAS, by resolution No. 4980, passed by the City Council on the 14th day of
May, 1973, preliminary reports for permanent street surfacing, nonc.ret.e curb and
gutter and appurtenances thereto for City Project No. 657, Di,striets Nos. 6 and 13,
by Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. Consulting Engineers) were so ordered, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5040, passed by the City Council. on the 9th
day of July, 1973, the preliminary reports so ordered were received and public hearings
on said impro~rements were so ordered to be held on the lst and 2nd days of August, 1973,
and
WHEREAS, by Resolutions Nos. 5050 and 5052 passed by the City Council on the 13th
day of August, 1973, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc, was so ordered to prepare
plans and specifications for permanent surfacing and appurtenances thereto for City
Project No. 657, Districts Nos. 6 and 13, as outlined in said Resolution No. 4980 except
in the following areas; Fourth Avenue from 67th Street to 68th Street; East Pleasant
Avenue from 62nd Street to 73rd Street and 70th Street from Portland Avenue to East
Pleasant Avenue, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 5116, passed by the City Council on the 12th day of
November, 1973, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. was so ordered to prepare plans
and specifications for permanent street surfacing and appurtenances thereto for Fourth
Avenue from 67th to 68th Street, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 5117, passed by the City Council on the 12th day of
November, 1973, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associattes, Inc. was so ordered to prepare plans
and specifications for permanent street surfacing and appurtenances thereto for East
Pleasant Avenue from 62nd St.~eet to 73rd Street, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 5123, passed by the City Council on the 26th day of
November, 1973, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Ino. was so ordered to prepare plans
and specifications for permanent street surfacing and appurtenances thereto for 70th
Street from Portland Avenue to East Pleasant Avenue, and
WHEREAS, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Tnc. has presented such plans and
specifications to the council for approval.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota,
as follows:
l~ That such plans and specifications are hereby approved, Clerk's
File No. 9514.
2. That sealed bids will be publicly opened by the City Manager on
March 15, 1974 at 11:00 a.m. in the council chambers of the city
hall and that such bids will be tabulated and presented to the
City Council for award on March 25, 1974.
