RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE
METROPOLITAN TRANSIT COMMISSION
TO CONDUCT A STUDY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
IMPROVING EASTm~WEST BUS TRANSPORTATION IN
THE CITY OF RICHFIELD
WHEREAS, the City Council is interested in encouraging tl-~e use of mass
transit as a means of coping with the energy crisis, and
WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Richfield frequently request more east-~
west bus transportation within the City of Richfield, and
WHEREAS, a substantial number of Richfield citizens must travel in an
east-west direction not only to and from employment, but also to and from
commercial areas and medical treatment and office facilities .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of
Richfield that they hereby request that the Transit Commission conduct what
ever studies are necessary to determine how east west bus service within the
City of Richfield could be improved and present proposals for improved service
to the city council for consideration as soon as possible.
