RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
TO REEVALUATE ITS AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT GUIDE
WHEREAS, the Airport Development Guide i.s a document, like many other
documents as a result of study, subject to change and modification after review;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that new information is bel.ng presented to the Legis~
lature that may be applicable to the decisions contained in the Development
Guide; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council itself is involved in developing a
development framework guide which will affect the Airport Development Guide;
and
WHEREAS, recent events such as the energy crisis directly relate to the
wasteful use of such natural resources as the additional gasoline as may be
required to fly aircraft a further distance and to drive automobiles a further
distance to a new airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota tizat the city council respectfully requests the Metropolitan
Council to undertake a review and evaluation of its Airport Development Guide,
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield this 26th day of
November, 1973,
