RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, the Suburban Hennepin County Relief Board was created by joint
agreement between numerous local units of government in suburban Hennepin
County, and
WHEREAS, the Suburban Hennepin County Relief Board has provided financial
aid and counseling to residents of the City of Richfield in time of need, and
WHEREAS, the staff of the Suburban Hennepin. County Relief Board is to be
commended for their fair and impartial treatment of all the people they have dealt
with over the years, and
WHEREAS, the State Legislature has abolished the Township Relief system in
Hennepin County effective December 3I , 1973 and thereby eliminating the need for
the Suburban Hennepin County Relief Board
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield
Minnesota, that they extend their appreciation and thanks to the staff and the local
government officials who have served as directors of the Suburban Hennepin County
Relief Board for their dedicated work in serving the needs of residents of the City
of Richfield.
