RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON CITY PROJECT Noa 642
BZ~ :LT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, as followso
1, That the city cleric has, with the assistance of the city engineer, calculated
the proper amounts to be assessed for permanent street surfac~eng and installation of
ornamental lights, Gity Project No, 642, against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel
of land specially benefited thereby in accordance with the provisions of law, and the
proposed assessment so made up was filed with the city clerk for more than 15 days prior
to the assessment hearing and was open to public inspection during said period,
2, `T'hat notice has been duly published and a public hearing heretofore duly held
as required by law so that this council could meet and pass upon the proposed assessment,
30 'T'hat an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their
objections, if any, to such orpposed assessment or to a.ny item thereof at said public
hearings
4a That the city council has heretofore duly established City Project Noa 642 and
after carefully considering all the facts, the benefits to each lot, piece or parcel of
land and fully advising itself in the premises, has found and determined and hereby
declares that each and every lot, piece, or parcel of land included in said proposed"

5o The proposed total assessment in the amount of $$52,134x40 is hereby affirmed,
adopted and confirmed and the sums fixed and named in said proposed assessment are
affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said lots,
pieces, or parcels of land respectively, and said amount so set out is hereby levied
against each of the respective lots, pieces, or parcels of land therein describeda
6, Said assessment is hereby affirmed, adopted, confirmed and shall be certified
by the city clerk and filed in his office, and shall thereupon be and constitute the
special assessment for said City Project Noo 642, permanent street. surfacing and installm
ation of ornamental lights,
7e The assessment with, accruing interest, shall be a lien upon the property included
therein, concurrent with general taxes, and shall be payable in equal annual installments
extending over a period of 20 yearsa The first installme~n.t shall be payable on the first
Monday in January of 1974° All assessments shall bear interest ~t the rate of 8% per
annum, To th.e first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the
date of this resolution until December 31, 1974, to each subsequent installment shall be
added interest for one year on all unpaid installments,
A11 assessments and interest thereon shall be collected and paid=over in the same
manner as other municipal taxesm'
