RESOLUTION ON SWIMMING POOL_ POLICY
WHEREAS o the- City of Richfield has a municipal swimming pool which is
open for operation during the warm months of the year, and
WHEREASo the city council wishes to adopt a comprehensive policy to be
used as a guide in the operation of the municipal swimming pool,
NOW a THEREFORE B BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHFIELD THAT the city adopt the following policies regarding the municipal
swimming pool:
1 . That tickets for the pool be sold only to Richfield residents, except
that permanent Richfield -City employees may purchase tickets regardless
of place of residence.
2 . That pool use. be limited to the Parks and Recreation Program swimming
lessons from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday through Saturday.
3. That the pool be open for general swimming purposes from 1:00 p.m. to
5:00 p . m . Monday through Friday with the exception of adult night and
teen night . On Tuesday nights the period from 7 :0 0 p . m . to 9:00 p . m .
will be limited to teenage use and on Thursday nights the period from
8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. wi1T be limited to adult use.
4 o That the pool. be -open for general swimming purposes from 1:00 p.m. to
9:00 p a m o on Saturdays a holidays and Sundays .
5. That the Richfield Swim Club be permitted to use pool facilities in
accordance with their annual agreement with the city.
5 . That the pool be closed for general swimming purposes. in order to permit
a .one day invitational swim meet sponsored by the Richfield Swim Club
on a Saturday or Sunday.
7 o That the usage fees for the Richfield Swimming .Pool including tax be
$15 a 50 per family season ticketa $7.25 per single season ticket; $6.25
per guest ticket and 75~ per individual ticket.
8 o That the usage fees for non-residents living within the Richfield .School
District but residing in the Village of Edina or at Fort Snelling including
tax be $23.00 per family season ticket and $11 .50 per individual season
ticket o
9o That an additional fee of $1 000 be added to all season ticket prices
after M emoria 1 Day .

10 o That season tickets be nontransferable and that any violation® misrepm
resentation or falsification by an individ•~al result in forf.eit•ure of the
season ticket and all monies paid for the ticket and exclusion from the
pool for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the violationo
11 s That civilian adult crosswalk guards be utilized to patrol the 6th Street
crosswalk during those hours when the pool is open for general swimming
