RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IiID AND AWARDING CONTRACT TO ALEXANDER
CONSTRUCTION CO. INC., APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA, FOR PERMANENT
STREET SURFACING, AREA N0. 14.

EE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, as
follows:
1. That it is hereby determined that the bid of Alexander Construction Co.
Inc., Apple Valley, Minnesota, is the lowest bid by a responsible bidder fo~° the
construction of City Project No. 650, permanent street surfacing, Area TTo. 14.
2. That the bid of Alexander Construction Co. Inc. for the construction of
the above referenced project on a unit price basis, at the price contained in
their prop®sal of April 19, 1973, with an estimated construction cost of $1,176,555
is hereby accepted.
3. That the proposed contract between Alexander Construction Co. Inc. and the
City of Richfield be given Clerk's File No. 9474 and be placed on file. That said
proposed contract for the construction of said city project is hereby approved and
adopted and the Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said contract for or on behalf of the City of Richfield and the Clerk is authorized
and directed to affix the city seal thereto.
4. That payments to be made under the terms of said contract shall be charged
against the Construction Fund.
5. That the Corporate Surety Bond in the sum of the estimated contract price
which accompanies said proposed contract is hereby accepted and approved.
6. Tha~~ the City Clerk is authorized and directed to return the security
documents to the unsuccessful bidders upon the execution of said proposed contract.
