1972-4896rRESOLUTION Noe 4896 RESOLUTION URGING THE HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO RECOGNIZE THE SOUTH HENNEPIN HUMAN SERVICES PLANNING BOARD AS THE OFFICIAL HUMAN SERVICES PLANNING UNIT FOR SOUTH SUBURBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY AND TO IMMEDIATELY COMMIT COUNTY RESOURCES TO THE PROVISION OF PROGRAMS OF SERVICE RECOMMENDED BY THE SOUTH HENNEPIN BOARD WHEREAS the City of Richfield is, along with Eden Prairie, Edina and Bloomington a member of the South Hennepin Human Services Pl~fining Board, which is formed under the Joint Powers Act, and WHEREAS the South Hennepin Human Services Planning Board has made an evalum ation of the human service needs in the south suburban area, as w-ell as an inventory of existing services, upon which recommendations regarding priorities of action by the County may be formulated, and WHEREAS there is now sufficient information to enable the County to initiate some of the needed programs of service in~:the south suburban area , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, that the Hennepin County Commissioners are urged to recognize the South Hennepin l.luman Services Planning Board as the official human services planning unit for the south suburban area of Hennepin County, including the communities of Bloomington, Edina, Eden Prairie and R~_chfield, and to commit County funds and other resources to the provision of needed programs of service as recommended by the South Hennepin Human Services Planning Board o Passed by the city council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 26th day of December, 19.72 0 Loren o Law ATTEST: Mayor Thomas J o M~~~n City Clerk
