1972-4874rRESOLUTION '~'~. 4874 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REVISION OF 1973 BUDGET AND RECERTIFYING THE LEVYING OF TAKES WHEREAS, Resolution No, 4858 adopted a budget for the City of Richfield for the year 1973, and determined direct ad valorem taxes to be levied upon all taxable property in the City of Richfield for the year 1972, payable in 1973, and WHEREAS, the 1972 federal legislature passed a new law following the adoption of this budget which provided revenue sharing aid for municipalities, and WHEREAS, it is the councils intention to include such revenue sharing a.llot- men.t for 1972 for ordinary and necessary operating and maintenance expenditures of 1973, and, in. effect, provide property tax relief, NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, as follows: 1, The budget for the City of Richfield for the year 1973 is hereby approved anal adopted with appropr3.ations for each of the departments to be as follows: GENERAL FUND Mayor-Council $ 25,046 Executive 97,109 .Legal 47,216 }; s:riance 253, 347 Planning 32,446 Public Safety 1,341,908 Public Works 711,14© iZeal th 94, 302 Parks and Recreati®n 650,375 t7~na11ocatec~ 192,965 TO`N'AL GE'1~;RAL FUND $3,445,854 2, The estimated gross revenues of the City of Richfield from all sources, including revenue sharing, local government aid, and general ad valorem tax levies, as hereinafter set forth, for the year 1973, l.ncl~uding prior years levies budgeted fox• 1973, as the same are more fully detailed in the city manager's official copy of the 1973 budget, are hereby found and determined to be revised as followse L~ Resolution No. 4874 (continued) FUND GENERAL FUND AMOUNT $3,445,854 3. There is hereby levied upon all taxable property in the City of Richfield a direct ad valorem tax in the year 1972, payable in 1973, for the following purposes and in the following amounts; PURPOSE AMOUNT GENERAL FUND X1,655,123 BONDS AND INTEREST * None * Previously certified by deferred levy...see separate cancellation resolutions. Provision has been made in the General Fund for payment of the city's con- tributory share to public employees' retirement association, and the police and firemen's relief associations. Provisions have also been made in the General Fund revenues for receipt of the State Sales and Excise Tax per capita distribution. I 4. A certified copy of this resolution shall be transmitted to the county auditoz and the commissioner of taxation.
