WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the council adopted on the 12th day of June,
1972, preliminary reports were ordered to be prepared by Orr-Schelen-Mayeron &
Associates, Inc. with reference to ;permanent street impre~vements, ornamental street
lights and appurtenances thereto in ttae following areaso
Street Improvement Area No. 3e That area bounded on the north by
72nd Street, west by Portland Avenue, south by Highway 494 and east
by 12th Avenue, excluding Portland Avenue, Highway 494 and 12th
Avenue.
Street Improvement Area No. 5. That area bounded on the north by
66th Street, west by Portland Avenue, south by 72nd Street and east
by 12th Avenue excluding 66th Street, Portland Avenue and 12th Avenue

and,
WHEREAS, such preplmminary reports were received by the Council on June 26, 1972,
Resolution No. 4791, and
WHEREAS, the council is presently in the process of conducting hearings for
proposed 1973 improvements so that bids may be taken and construction started at the
earliest possible date in 1973, and
WHEREAS, the project is of such size and scope that it has been determined that
it, is necessary to authorize the preparation of final plans and specifications prior
to the completion of the hearings so that the field work on the project can be completed
before it must be terminated due to weather conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minn-
esota, as follows:
1972.
1. That Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. are hereby designated as the
Engineers for this improvement.
2. They are hereby authorized to prepare final plans and specifications for the
making of such improvements in Districts Nos. 3 and S.
