RESOLUTION RELATING TO AGREEIVIENT OF SETTLIuMENT
AND AMENDMENT TO FOOTBALL PLAYING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
METROPOLITAN SPORTS AREA COMMISSION
AND MINNESOTA VIKINGS FOOTBALL CLUB
WHEREAS a dispute h.as existed betuveen the Metropolitan Sports Area Commission
(a public .body created by joint agx°eement entered into by the Cities of Minneapolis®
Richfield, and Bloomington) and the Minnesota Vikings Football Club with respect
to amounts due from the Club to the Commission for use of the Metropolitan Sports
Area for divisional and league playoff games and a championship game played by the
Club's team in 1969 ® I970 and 1971® and
WHEREAS the Club and the Commission have negotiated a proposed agreement of
settlement of said dispute including also provision for the application of past and
future amounts paid or to be paid to the Commission by fhe Club on account of past
and future past-season playoff or championship games played in the Metropolitan
Sports Area a
NOW, THEREFORE, BL I`I` R.FSOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfielde
Minnesota a s follows:
1. This Council approves the ter~rxxs of the agreement of settlement providing
for the application of amounts received and to be received by the Commission on
account of post-season playoff or championship games played or to be played by
the Club's team in the Metropolitan Sports Ar~;~a .

day of August, 1972.
