RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATIOi~I OF REPORT ON PERMAi~1ENT STREET
SURFACING AND ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTS AND APPURTENANCES TIiERETO.
CITY PROJECT N0. 650
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve the following areas:
Street Improvement Area No. 2. That area bounded on the i~Torth by
66th. Street, West by 12tta Avenue, South by Diagonal Blvd., and
East by Cedar Avenue.
Street Improvement Area No. 3. That area bouned on the North by
72nd Street, West by Portland Avenue, South by Highway 494 and
East by 12th Avenue.
Street Improvement Area i~o. 4. That area bounded on the North by
76th Street, West by Penn Avenue, South by Highway 494 and East by
Highway 35tJ.
Street Improvement Area No. 5. Bounded on the North by 66th Street,
West by Portland Avenue, South by 72nd Street and East by 12th Avenue.
Street Improvement Area No. 14. Bounded on the idorth by 62nd Street,
West by 11th Avenue, East by 23rd Avenue and South by 66th Street and
that area bounded on the North by 68th Street, West by Highway 36
Service Road, East by 21st Avenue and South by 69th Street.
Also, Cedar Avenue, 66th to 78th Street and 78th Street, Cedar Avenue to
Portland Avenue.
by permanent street surfacing and ornamental street lighting and appurtenances thereto and
to assess abutting lots and parcels of land in the City of Richfield for all or a portion
of the cost of the improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLt~ED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota,
as follows:
1~ That the proposed improvements be referred to Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc.
(Consulting Engineers) for study and that they be instructed to report to the Council with
all convenient speed, advising the Council in a preliminary way, as to whether the proposed
improvement is feasible, the area to be assessed, and as to whether it should best be made
as proposed or in connection with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the
improvement as recommended.
2. That the improvements listed in this resolution shall hereafter be known as City
Project No. 650.
3. That the cost for preliminary work shall be paid from the Construction Fund, such
cysts to be reimbursed when financing has been accomplished for the construction of this
oject .
