RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Public Works Director Leo J. Jolly is retiring on May 31, 1972;
and
WHEREAS, his service to the City of Richfield totals eighteen years,
during which dine Richfield grew from a small village to a mature suburban
community;-and
WHEREAS, during those eighteen years Leo J. Jolly supervised the construc-
tion o£ many major city improvements including storm and sanitary sewers, a
water treatment plant and distribution system, park developments, public
service buildings, sidewalks, street lighting and other public works improve-
ment projects; and
WHEREAS, Leo J. Jo11y has made an outstanding contribution to the City of
Richfield in the administration and operation of the Public .Works Depart-
ment; and
WHEREAS, Leo J. Jolly has served as Acting City Manager and has faithfully
attended-City Council meetings,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Richfield
does hereby express its sincere appreciation to Leo J. Jolly for his dedi-
cated service to the community and wishes him a long and happy retirement.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Richfield this twenty-second
day of May, 1972.
