RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PARK PROPERTY
(62nd and Cedar)
~E IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Richfield, as follows:
1 . It is hereby determined to be necessary and expedient to the public health,
safety, convenience and welfare to accguire the property commonly known as the Karlins
property in the vicinity of 62nd and Cedar Avenue adjacent to Taft Park, for park and other
muL~icipal purposes .
2. It is further determined that the offer of the owners of such property to sell and
convey the same to the city for consideration of $6a 000.00, with the city assuming taxes
and special assessments due and payable in the year 1972 and thereafter, is hereby
determined to be a fair and reasonable offer and the same is hereby accepted.
3. The legal description of the property herein referred to is as follows:
Tract A, Registered Land Survey No. 930, files of the Registrar
of Titles a Hennepin County, Minnesota
4. The mayor, city manager, finance director and city attorney are authorized
and directed to take such steps as are necessary to effect such purchase in accordance
with the provisions of this resolution.
5. All sums payable pursuant to this resolution shall be out of the Park Development
Account of the Special Revenue Fund.
Passed by the city council of the City of Richfielda Minnesota this 24th day of
April 1972.
