RESOLUTION CALLING HEARINGS ON MAY 15, MAY 16, MAY 17 AND M~.Y 18, 1972
ON 1972 PERMANENT STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND APPURTENANCES THERETO

WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted on the 5th day of April, 1971,
a report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to permanent street improvements
and appurtenances thereto as designated in REsolution No, 4542 and this report was received
by the Council on February 28, 1972, Clerk's File No. 4741.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield; Minnesota:
1. That the Council will consider the improvement of the areas hereinafter described
in accordance with such preliminary report and will consider the assessment of the property
hereinafter described, for benefits from the making of such improvement, the assessable
areas being as follows:
Area 1. Every lot, piece and parcel of land lying east of 12th Avenue, south
of Diagonal Boulevard, west of 15th Avenue and north of 77th Street;
and
That area lying south of 77th Street and north of Highway 4494 between
Bloomington Avenue and the alley line midway between 12th Avenue and
11th Avenue; and
Lots 1 through 4, Block 3, Lots 5 through 11, Block 4, and Lots 6
through 9, Block 7, all in Fallden's Fourth Addition; and
Every lot, piece and parcel of land abutting upon or lying within
on-half block west from 12th Avenue between 73rd Street and 77th
Street.
Area 2. Every lot, piece and parcel of land lying east of 15th Avenue, north
of Highway ~~494, west of Cedar_Avenue and south of 74th Street, except
that block included in Area 1 which lies between 77th and 78th Streets
and between Bloomington Avenue and 15th Avenue extended. ,
Area 3. Every lot, piece and parcel of land lying between 72nd and 74th Streets
and between 15th Avenue and Diagonal Boulevard on the west and Cedar
Avenue on the east.
Area 4. Every lot, piece and parcel of land abutting upon or being within one-
half block east or west from 12th Avenue from 66th Street to 73rd
Street; and
Every lot, piece and parcel of land lying south of Diagonal Boulevard
and north of 72nd Street between Bloomington Avenue and Cedar Avenue;
and
Lots 6 through 10, Block 4, Petit Fifth Addition; and
Lots 5 through 8, Block 2, Petit Fourtia Addition; and
Lots 1 through 3, Block 1, and Lots 2 and 3, Block 2, and Lots 3 through
9, Block 5, and Lots 7 through 14, Block 6, and Lots 1 through 7, Block
8, all in Engberg Walden Second Addition; and

Lots 6 through 11, Block 1, Cedar-Sunrise, Third Addition
for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $1,021,392.00.
2. A public hearing shall be held on Area 1 on Monday, May 15, 1972; on Area
2 on Tuesday, May 16, 1972; on Area 3 on Wednesday, May 17, 1972 and on Area 4 on
Thursday, May 18, 1972; all of such hearings to commence at 7:00 p.m. and to be
held at Centennial School, 73rd Street and Bloomington Avenue South. The Clerk shall
gave public notice of such hearings on the improvement as required by law,
3. Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, are hereby
authorized and directed to prepare construction drawings and specifications on said
project.
