RESOLUTION No, 4722
RESOLUTION RELATING TO ADJOURNMENT OF COUNCIL MEETINGS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota,
as follows:
1, The procedure hereinafter set forth shall be applicable to the
adjournment of regular meetings of the city council,
2. Such meetings of the city council shall ordinarily adjourn at
11:00 o'clock p.m®, except as otherurise provided herein.
3. At any such meeting of the city council any member of the council
may, on or after the hour of 11:00 p,m,, give notice that the hour
of 11:00 o'clock has been reached or passed and that he is invoking
the provisions of this resolution and is calling for automatic
adjournment of the meeting. When such notice has been given, the
presiding officer shall forthwith adjourn the meeting, unless the
councilman invoking such rule then agrees to permit the matter
under discussion to be concluded before the meeting is adjourned.
4. When such notice is given, however, the council may by unanimous
action determine to continue in session. A motion to continue in
Session shall take precedence over action to adjourn.
5. The provisions of this resolution shall not be deemed to affect the
validity of any action taken by the council at any regular meeting
of the council extending past the hour of 11:00 o'clock p.m,
